pubarchMED – Archaeological practice and society in the Mediterranean

16th April 2021 – 18th April 2021

This conference marks the final step of the project “Arqueologìa pùblica en el contexto mediterráneo” by Jaime Almansa Sánchez and wants to explore the relation between society and archaeology in the Mediterranean, approaches to archaeological heritage management and the archaeological profession in the Mediterranean, or general theoretical approaches to public archaeology from the Mediterranean.

I have been invited as member of the scientific committee and to participate in the roundtable “On how archaeology impacts society and viceversa”.

The conference focused on a wide range of topics in the area of public archaeology, with speakers from all around the Mediterranean. It has been a very good opportunity to get update and discuss on several issues, especially by exploring how archaeology impacts society in different countries and from different perspectives.
